These terms apply when you use Listen Osho, on the web or in the Android app. They are short, because the app is free and asks nothing of you beyond fair use. By using Listen Osho, you agree to them.
About the service
Listen Osho is a free, open-source player for Osho audio discourses. The recordings stream from third-party sources, mainly a public Internet Archive collection. Listen Osho is an independent project. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Osho International Foundation, Osho World or oshoworld.com.
The recordings and other content
We do not own the recordings, transcripts or cover images shown in the app. They belong to their respective rights holders. Listen Osho makes them easier to find and play for personal, non-commercial listening, so:
- Listen for your own personal use
- Use downloads for offline listening inside the app
- Do not use Listen Osho to copy, sell or republish the recordings
Copyright concerns
If you hold the rights to material in the app and want it removed, contact us with the series and talk names and the basis of your claim. We review every request and remove material from the catalogue where appropriate. Because the audio is hosted by the Internet Archive, you may also want to contact them.
The app's source code
The source code is available on GitHub under the MIT License. That licence, not these terms, governs how you may use, copy and change the code.
Acceptable use
Please do not:
- Use Listen Osho for anything unlawful
- Try to disrupt, overload or break the app or the services it relies on
- Scrape or bulk-download the catalogue in a way that burdens those services
Availability
Listen Osho is provided as it is and as available. We may change, pause or stop any part of it at any time. Talks can stop playing or disappear when third-party sources change, and we cannot promise that any recording will stay available.
No warranty
To the fullest extent the law allows, Listen Osho comes without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that it will be accurate, uninterrupted or error-free. Transcripts are collected from other sources and may contain mistakes.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, the people who run Listen Osho are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the app. The app is free, and if you are unhappy with it, your remedy is to stop using it.
Third-party services
Listen Osho relies on services run by others, such as the Internet Archive, oshoworld.com, PostHog and Google Fonts. Their own terms and policies apply to them. Our privacy policy explains what they receive.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If you keep using Listen Osho after a change, the new terms apply.
