Osho in Hindi: pravachan as they were spoken

Osho spoke in Hindi for much of his life, and most people who look for Osho audio in Hindi want those talks: the Osho pravachan, given to live audiences. Most of this library is Osho Hindi audio. The Osho Hindi discourses cover the Gita, the Upanishads, Kabir, Krishna and Lao Tzu, each series kept in its original order. Every discourse opens with its whole series around it, so you can start at the first talk or go straight to the one you need.

If you only want Osho Hindi speech audio, open Settings and set Discourse language to Hindi. The library, transcript search and Discover then show Hindi talks only. The Hindi transcripts are in Devanagari, so you can read along in the language Osho spoke.

Ashtavakra Gita, Vigyan Bhairav Tantra and Geeta Darshan

Three of the best-known series are a good way in. In Ashtavakra Mahageeta, Osho speaks on the Ashtavakra Gita, the dialogue in which the sage Ashtavakra answers King Janak. For many people, Ashtavakra Gita Osho audio is the place to begin: 91 Hindi talks that keep returning to one point, that you are already free and only need to see it.

Vigyan Bhairav Tantra: The Book of Secrets is Osho on the Vigyan Bhairav Tantra, the text in which Shiva answers Devi with 112 methods of meditation. Across 80 English talks he explains each technique and how to try it for yourself. Osho Geeta Darshan is his long Hindi commentary on the Bhagavad Gita, chapter by chapter, and Tao Upanishad brings the same depth to Lao Tzu.

Osho discourses and talks in English

The English side of the library holds Osho discourses on Zen, Tao, Tantra, the Sufis and the Buddha, from The Dhammapada to Walking in Zen, Sitting in Zen. Each Osho audio discourse is part of a numbered series, so you always know where a talk sits. Search by name, or open Explore to browse every series in Hindi and English.

Osho audio books: the talks behind the books

Almost every Osho book began as a talk. The books were edited from recordings of his discourses, so a complete series here is close to an Osho audiobook of the same title, in his own voice. If you have read Osho books and want to hear them spoken, look the series up in Explore.

Audio books suit Osho well. He spoke slowly, with long pauses, and much of the meaning lives in how he says things: the humour, the stories of Mulla Nasruddin, the silence after a question.

Search inside the transcripts

Thousands of the talks come with a transcript. Transcript search looks through all of them at once, in Hindi or English, and takes you to the talk where a word was spoken. Open a transcript while you listen and it follows along like lyrics, highlighting the paragraph you are hearing. The timing is approximate, since the transcripts have no timestamps. Tap a paragraph to jump there.

Discover counts themes across the transcripts, from Mulla Nasruddin to Zen, so you can wander by topic instead of by title.

Download Osho audio free and listen offline

Every Osho MP3 here is free. Stream it straight away, or tap Download to save the talk on your device so it plays without internet: on a train, on a long walk, or in a room where you sit in silence. There is no sign-up and no paywall, and you can save as many talks as your device has room for.

Bookmarks mark a moment in a talk, and a shared bookmark link opens at that exact point. When you only have a minute, Shorts plays short clips from the discourses in a swipeable feed.

Osho meditation

Osho is known for his meditations as much as for his talks. Vigyan Bhairav Tantra covers 112 techniques, and Hindi series such as Dhyan Sutra and Dhyan Darshan speak directly about dhyan, the practice of meditation. Many listeners play a discourse before or after sitting quietly, and the player keeps going while you close your eyes.

Where the recordings come from

The MP3 files stream from a public Internet Archive collection, where they are labelled as Osho World audio. Listen Osho adds the player, search, bookmarks and offline listening around them.
